If you are new to the desert
Plenty of people arrive in the Coachella Valley wearing hearing aids that were fit somewhere else, sometimes two thousand miles away. The provider who fit them is not going to help from there, and a lot of local offices will not touch a device they did not sell.
We will. Bring them in.
If they were fit somewhere that skipped verification
This is the more common situation, and people usually do not know it applies to them. The hearing aids work, more or less. Speech in quiet is fine. Restaurants are still hard. Someone told them it takes time to adjust, or that this is as good as it gets.
Before assuming the device is the problem, it is worth finding out whether it was ever measured. We can put a probe microphone in your ear, run the hearing aids you already own, and show you on screen whether they are hitting the targets your hearing loss requires. Frequently they are not, and frequently that is fixable in one appointment.
What we can do with devices you already own
- Verify current performance with Real Ear Measurement
- Reprogram to prescriptive target for your hearing loss
- Run test box analysis to confirm the hardware itself still performs to specification
- Deep clean the microphones and receivers on our vacuum system
- Replace domes, wax guards, receivers, and tubing
- Re-pair the devices to a new phone, television streamer, or accessory
- Arrange manufacturer repair when something has genuinely failed
What we need from you
Bring the hearing aids, any charger or accessories, and if you have it, a copy of your most recent hearing test. If you do not have one, or it is more than a year old, we will perform a current evaluation, since programming to an outdated audiogram is its own kind of guessing.
A note on brands
We work with Oticon, Phonak, ReSound, Starkey, Widex, Signia, and Unitron, and hold accounts with all of them, which means we have the programming software and hardware for each. There are devices we cannot access, including some sold direct to consumer and some locked to a specific retailer. If yours is one of those, we will tell you quickly rather than waste your appointment.

“The other thing that is important to me is that you will always be seeing the person that fitted you with your hearing aids.”Peggy S.Google review
We hold accounts with all seven manufacturers we fit.
We measure what your current aids are doing before changing anything.
Many devices simply need correcting, not replacing.
If we cannot access your device, we will say so immediately.
