We do not post prices online, and this page explains why, what actually drives the cost, and what is included in every price we quote.
Why there are no numbers on this page
The honest answer: a price depends on your hearing loss, your ears, and the technology level you actually need, and we will not know any of that until we have evaluated your hearing. A price without an evaluation is a guess, and we do not guess. After your evaluation you get an exact quote, in writing, before you decide anything.
What actually drives the price
Three things, in order of importance. First, the technology level inside the device, which matters far more than the brand name on the outside. Every manufacturer makes several levels, and the right one depends on how demanding your listening life is, a quiet household and a busy restaurant are different problems. Second, whether you need one hearing aid or two. Third, the style and any custom earpieces. What does not drive the price here is a sales quota, because we fit all seven major manufacturers and hold accounts with each.
What every price includes
Our pricing is bundled, one price covers the device and the care that makes it work. That means the fitting itself, verified with Real Ear Measurement, all follow-up adjustments, cleanings, and troubleshooting for the life of the hearing aids, an automatic deep cleaning every six months, three years of repair coverage, three years of loss and damage coverage (a manufacturer deductible applies to replacement), and loaner hearing aids while yours are in for repair.
Protections you have when buying in California
California law is on your side here, and we want you to know it. Under California Civil Code section 1793.02, every hearing aid sold in this state carries a 45 day return period: if the hearing aids do not work out, you may return them for a full refund. And you will not be charged sales tax on hearing aids in California.
Insurance
Some health plans include a hearing aid benefit and many do not, and the details vary widely from plan to plan. Call us with your plan information and we will help you find out what yours covers before your visit.
